I’ve come to read this book because I am a fan of author Colleen
Hoover’s Slammed and Point of Retreat books.
I read this when it first came out the end of 2012 and I waited anxiously
for this book. Once again I was not disappointed and it reached number one in Amazon sales as soon as it hit the site.
The author decides to do a unique thing and time and date her
chapters so in the beginning you experience a glimpse of what to expect in the
future. As you go through the journey
with the main character Sky, she is looking back at her life and trying to
figure out how she came to her current situation.

That’s what
seventeen-year-old Sky realizes after she meets Dean Holder. A guy with a
reputation that rivals her own and an uncanny ability to invoke feelings in her
she’s never had before. He terrifies her and captivates her all in the span of
just one encounter, and something about the way he makes her feel sparks buried
memories from a past that she wishes could just stay buried.
Sky struggles to keep
him at a distance knowing he’s nothing but trouble, but Holder insists on
learning everything about her. After finally caving to his unwavering pursuit, Sky
soon finds that Holder isn’t at all who he’s been claiming to be. When the
secrets he’s been keeping are finally revealed, every single facet of Sky’s
life will change forever.
Gotcha thinking, right? Well, don’t think you got it all
figured out, because I was off. The
author was really good at not giving me a clue what was going on until it was time
to be revealed - that is what kept me reading.
This was one of my all-nighters, and I read it until I was done. I had to know and boy, was it worth it. If you are looking for some mystery, a young
love story, and action this is the book for you. I gave it 5 stars - it read like a movie.
